Midweek Reflection:
“Grace welcomes us as we are, but it does not leave us unchanged.”
In Sunday's Gospel, Jesus tells a parable about a wedding banquet where the invitation extends beyond the expected guests. People from every walk of life are welcomed to the table, not because they have earned a place, but because they have been invited.
Yet the parable reminds us that accepting an invitation is only the beginning.
God's grace is freely given, but it also calls us into a different way of living. We cannot celebrate being welcomed by God while refusing to make room for others. We cannot receive generosity without being challenged to become more generous ourselves.
Faith is not simply about belonging to a community or attending worship. It is about allowing God's love to shape the way we treat the people we encounter each day.
As you move through the rest of this week, consider this question:
Where might God be inviting you to grow in generosity, compassion, or love?
The invitation has already been extended. How will we respond?
